Body Positive Retreats has grown out of a tiny seed of an idea of bringing women together who want to have a lovely break in a gorgeous location, learn about or practice yoga, celebrate bodies of all shapes and sizes, meet other like-minded people and well, just have some fun! This is a wellbeing focussed retreat but by wellbeing, we mean sharing lots of laughs, doing as much as feels right to you, sleep-ins (if that's what you need!) and eating delicious food (and we LOVE our food!) which fuels both your body AND soul. Yes, lots of yummmm....
Fi and Sarah.....
The thing about us that you should know is that we are friends as well as colleagues.... We have worked together on our own business 'Body Positive Australia' for over 10 years, we finish each other's sentences and have each others backs!
Our energy is unique and warm with a bit of fun and a lot of laughter thrown in the mix. We juggle kids, partners, dogs and homes but we have never lost our passion for women's health and wellbeing.
This retreat is the accumulation of ten years of professional knowledge in the health, sport, eating disorders and body image fields, so rest assured you are in very capable hands! We have facilitated over 30 groups, presented at conferences, lectured at uni's and play a lot of Lego. We've got you covered! We are incredibly passionate about helping women live wholeheartedly, nourish themselves and their bodies and create the most amazing life they can. We want to bring you a retreat which will allow you to rest, indulge, stretch and grow.
Other stuff we love to do:
Running workshops with the Dietetic students at Deakin University (counselling skills, eating disorders, eating behavior and body image workshops)
Presenting at National-based conferences
Running research projects in collaboration with universities such as Monash, La Trobe and ACU
